Prosperity 10,000 RFP Awards:
Clackamas Workforce Partnership Executive Committee met on 7/21/22, and finalized the RPF Committee’s recommendation to fund the following organizations through Future Ready Oregon – Prosperity 10,000.
Immigrant & Refugee Community Organization (IRCO): $100,588
Proposed funding will support a half-time Career Coach serving 15 participants who are interested in careers and vocational training for identified target sectors, with a specific emphasis on Early Learning & Education/ELE. Coaches will conduct culturally specific strengths-based outreach; provide career coaching, career development, and occupational training; link to trainings for licensing providers, and technical assistance, job placement, and retention services.
Children Family and Community Connections (CFCC): $144,999
Proposed funding will serve 55 adults and dislocated workers employed in Clackamas County by providing career coaching, occupational training, job placement services and strategic engagement efforts.
Clackamas Community College (CCC): $149,317
Proposed funding will be used to benefit 25 Clackamas County low-income individuals in receiving education and training opportunities through CCC’s Workforce Development Services (WDS) department to obtain and/or advance employment to earn family-wage careers. CCC-WDS will engaging underserved and historically marginalized students who have been identified as “stopped-out” through the Re-engagement & Retention grant to complete programs in manufacturing, healthcare, and construction (renewable energy).
