The event left a lasting impression on many students. Cody from West Linn High School shared, “It was a real eye-opening experience. I was linear about my path and thought that I had to go to college. But the more I explore, the more the trades – and becoming an electrician – is appealing to me and fits my interests.”

Ricardo from Gladstone High School added, “I enjoyed learning about Clackamas Community College’s Automotive program because I like to get my hands dirty. I found it interesting and would consider enrolling.”
The Importance of Manufacturing Day
Manufacturing Day is part of a national grassroots movement that demonstrates the reality and future of modern manufacturing careers [1]. By opening their doors to students, parents, educators, and community leaders, manufacturers help address workforce challenges and build excitement about manufacturing careers.
