Updated Eligibility Information, Question & Answer

  • Age Requirements: the original partnership agreement said 18 and over, it is confirmed services are for ages 16 and over
  • Questions about specific jobs: for example, Cosmetology and/or Tattoo School, self-employed (aka: needed a real estate license): Approved for services – but as providers please be sure to keep in mind is sometimes other organization’s funding streams and requirements may prevent these sorts of things. So, a good caveat when vetting for the HUB is to be sure to ask these questions to make sure what you are asking for is allowable according to organizational rules, funding allowances, policies, etc.
  • Urgent Requests: Alessa and the NWFS services team is asking that when you do email regarding urgent requests so please include a due date or date needed in the email so we can better understand the need and timing of the check or payment.
  • Turn around for regular requests: we are now asking for two weeks turn around, the more due diligence you as the provider can do to help Alessa process the requests, the easier the approval processes will be.
  • Cell phones: we are going to approve cell phones as a need and service, along as you can, as the provider, prove the need is related to the various buckets of services. There are some rules about cell phones – it will be a maximum amount of $150 for the phone, and up to 6 months of services, talk and text only. We will also be approving up to a $325 one-time payment for a balance on an already existing cell phone service.
  • Personal ID: passports, along with driver’s licenses and ID’s all count as identification
  • Mortgage payments are acceptable, but we cannot pay the taxes on the property, so the request would need to be itemized
  • Immigration supports: if the individual has some sort of legal status in the country, we can support applications for next steps, work permits etc.

Community Resource Hub Info

Welcome to the information page for the Clackamas Community Resource Hub.

Clackamas Workforce Partnership (CWP) and Northwest Family Services (NWFS) have partnered to create “the Hub” – a resource for service providers working with residents of Clackamas County who may be experiencing circumstances or barriers related to education and job training; employment; and economic stability.

Hub partners can connect the individuals they serve to additional community resources, including financial assistance through the Hub’s flexible use funding. These funds may be used to resolve issues impacting someone’s ability to:

  • Access and utilize local workforce system resources and employment supports
  • Enter into and/or remain enrolled in a training or education program
  • Successfully completing a training or education program
  • Obtain and/or maintain employment (current or prospective)
  • Advance in their career and/or increase their wages
