Clackamas Coordinated Business Services

Clackamas Coordinated Business Services is a network of 11 workforce system partners with a mission to be responsive and accountable to Clackamas County employer needs through efficient coordination of collective resources and currently serving in part as CWP’s Business Goal Advisory Group.

Through this coordinated effort, our goal is to support businesses of all sizes who are seeking solutions for their workforce and training related challenges.

Find Employees & Access Talent

Recruitment: Identify and refer qualified job candidates through talent acquisition and resource specialists.

  • Customized job postings and pre-screened qualified applications.


Hiring & Training:
 Train, develop and invest in your future workforce. Partnerships provide on-the-job experience with innovative hiring models.

  • Paid and Unpaid Internship – occupational skills training paired with education
  • “On-the-Job Training” – short term contract to provide financial resources and support to employers to train eligible employees on the job.
  • Apprenticeship – occupational skill training that combines on the job experience with classroom instruction and salary increases.
  • Work Experience – Occupational skills experience.

Retain & Advance Employees

Professional Development: Provide customized management, leadership, job coaching and training to enhance the skill set of employees and support a healthy work environment.

Customized Training: Offer training solutions designed to meet the specific needs of a business; training offered on-site, off-site or on-line.

Layoff Prevention: Provide resources to prevent or minimize layoffs due to downsizing, resizing or closing.

  • Workshare – instead of reducing staff, an employer reduces the hours of work for a group of workers and partial Unemployment Insurance benefits are then paid to supplement workers’ reduced wages.

Work Site Accessibility and Accommodations: Consult and assist businesses and employees to identify and access work place enhancements that support employee performance.

Entrepreneurship: Provide support services for startup businesses.

Tax Abatement & Wage Reimbursements: Benefit programs offered contingent upon business expansion or location.

Site Selection Assistance: Assistance in locating real estate appropriate for the needs of your business.

Lean Improvements: Provide organizational skill training to eliminate waste, streamline processes, and improve productivity.

Business Counseling: Advise in development of a business plan, conduct financial analyses, create a professional loan package strategy and assist with lender relations.

Out-Placement Services: Determine strategies for businesses that are re-sizing, downsizing or closing.

Human Resource Assistance: ADA and affirmative action plans, enhanced job listings.
