Child Care and the Private Sector – Profitability and Prosperity

Written By: Clackamas Workforce Partnership

On behalf of the Clackamas County Child Care for All Coalition (CC4A), I invite you to join your fellow business and employer leaders for a morning conversation about the private sector’s role and local efforts to expand access to child care.

The event will feature business leaders who will share their experiences and perspectives on investments in child care (from launching and operating onsite child care centers, to offering subsidies and flexible schedules) and its impact on employee attraction, retention, morale, and ultimately the bottom line.

We will explore the role the private sector can play in expanding child care access to families throughout Clackamas County. We can also share resources available to local businesses to support their employees’ child care needs and position themselves as being an employer of choice in this competitive labor market.

The goal of this conversation is to start a dialogue on a potential public/private partnership that seeks sustainable solutions to the challenges families face and ultimately businesses, when it comes to finding quality child care and the ability for parents to be a part of the workforce.

WHAT: A discussion of child care solutions for Clackamas County businesses and employees.

WHO: Business leaders and decision makers from the executive team/C-Suite, human resource professionals and private and nonprofit employers

WHEN: 8:30 – 9:45 AM | Wednesday, June 28, 2023 | Light breakfast will be served

WHERE: Clackamas Community College, Oregon City Campus Gregory Forum – 19600 Molalla Ave, Oregon City, OR 97045
