If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together.

Before rejoining the paid workforce, Jennie was a full-time parent to her two children. Early in her career, she earned a M.Ed. in Elementary Education and was a classroom teacher for over a decade. After calling the Northeast home for 15 years, her family relocated to the Portland area, in order to be closer to extended family.
Although Jennie is new to the nonprofit world, it is a natural next step based on her guiding value of service to the community. She strongly believes that it is our responsibility as humans to care for each other and to create equity. In her role as executive assistant, Jennie supports the CWP executive director and the board on a part-time basis. Every day, she is awestruck by the passion and contributions of her co-workers and others in the workforce system.
