Clackamas Workforce Partnership Releases 2016 State of the Workforce Report
Clackamas Workforce Partnership together with Worksystems and Workforce Southwest Washington has released the 2016 the State of the Workforce Report. The report examines the “state of the workforce” within the greater Portland-Vancouver region and aims to understand the balance between workforce supply and industry demand. In a comprehensive approach, the report provides critical information about the quality of the workforce, available and projected jobs, and describes some of the challenges and opportunities facing our region. Information and key findings in the report will be utilized to help us better ensure our workforce development efforts are effectively aligned with the needs of the regional economy. Additionally, understanding where misalignments exist is critically important as we shape policy, consider investments and implement strategies to improve the quality of the regional workforce.
The report and its key findings were originally presented on June 21st at the Regional State of the Workforce Summit held at the Holiday Inn Portland Airport. Print copies of the full report and executive summary are available upon request. Contact [email protected] or 503-657-6644 for more information.
