Clackamas Workforce Partnership

CWP Recipient of Oregon Community Foundation Grant

The Clackamas Workforce Partnership (CWP) has been awarded $20,000 from the Fred W. Fields Fund of The Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) to connect high school students in Clackamas County with employer-mentors who can provide experience and guidance in specific industries as students consider career options.

The Oregon Community Foundation has taken on the role of leader and partner, creating programs in areas where long-term needs are greatest. OCF’s strategic focus on economic vitality complements a longstanding commitment to education and the needs of children and families. The Foundation is currently focusing on the areas of developing a skilled workforce, investing in quality job creation, improving access to capital for small businesses and nonprofits, and engaging partners and donors in building Oregon’s economy.

Clackamas Workforce Partnership will utilize OCF grant funds to implement a project that will be a student-mentorship and employer-matching partnership to connect youth in Clackamas County to hands-on experience in targeted industries and allow for them to receive industry specific guidance as they consider career options and prepare for employment post-schooling.
