New Video - Housing Works Helps Residents Find Living-Wage Jobs

The Housing Works (HW) program is funded through the Workforce Innovation Fund (WIF). HW prepares public housing residents to find living-wage jobs in the manufacturing, health care, office work, and construction industries in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties in Oregon and Clark County in Washington. Three workforce investment boards and four public housing authorities conduct the program, and Worksystems acts as the WIF grant leader and administrator.

In addition to increasing participant income, the program seeks to create systems change among the partners through policy alignment and the co-investment of resources. The efficiencies resulting from these changes are expected to lead to improved outcomes for the common customers of the housing and workforce systems.

Please take a moment to watch this 5 minute Housing Works video to learn more about the important work being done.
